Rainbows, which the couple see as an expression of Pride, acceptance and fun, played a huge role in Amber and Morgan’s special day.

The Meet Cute: The two met at kickboxing, where Amber made quite an impression on newbie Morgan. “I remember the door swinging open with such force and a woman with red and blonde hair walking in and yelling, ‘HELLOOO,'” Morgan recalls, adding that she was instantly attracted. It was also love at first sight for Amber, who bided her time before making the first move six months later.

The Engagement: Amber proposed first, popping the question on a beach in Provincetown, Massachusetts. Morgan says she knew something was up when Amber appeared nervous before the big moment. After the proposal, the couple did a mini rainbow powder photo shoot that turned into a powder fight. Morgan got her turn to propose a few months later when the pair visited Beavertail State Park in Jamestown. They enjoy scratch tickets, so Morgan had a special one made for Amber with the big question hidden inside. When Amber scratched off the message, Morgan was waiting behind her on one knee.

The Venue: They toured venues during the pandemic, and both brides loved the look of Waterman Grille. A few weeks later, while having dinner at the Providence restaurant, the manager came over to greet them and offer a free dessert. They knew it would be the perfect spot to exchange vows and celebrate their love. “It is always intimate, and the food is exceptional,” Morgan says.

The Theme: “We wanted our decor to be all white, including the florals, as a way to make our rainbows pop,” says Morgan. “Rainbows have always been something we both love, and we look at it as an expression of Pride, acceptance and fun.” The theme continued after dinner, when the brides celebrated with a cupcake toast. The guests enjoyed biting into the treats to find – surprise! – more rainbows.

The Highlights: From a first look at the LOOM Hotel, Tapestry Collection by Hilton in Warwick, to a rainbow powder send-off, every detail of the day was meticulously planned. The brides had custom cigars made to share with their guests, and Amber honored her mother’s memory by placing her ashes in her bouquet so she could be with her on her special day. The couple’s guests also had a few surprises in store for them. Their officiant arrived decked out in a rainbow sequin-lined jacket, and Amber and Morgan’s football team wore shoes that literally lit up the dance floor.

The Advice: Amber recommends making sure you and your guests are present on the big day, even if it means taking a break from your phone. Your photographers will capture the magic, and Morgan says their experience with M.Studios could not have been better. Also, “Invite people who only want the best for you and truly want to celebrate you, Morgan adds. “Not everyone is as lucky as we are to have such incredible family and friends!”
