Bound by their shared love of nature, Victoria and Jake’s love story reached new heights at their favorite national park.

The Meet Cute: Victoria and Jake met in grad school while studying to be nurse practitioners. During the early days of the pandemic, they bonded over long shifts and Zoom classes, quickly becoming close friends. Their friendship grew during post-shift hikes and outdoor adventures. One thing led to another, and now the couple prepares for the next big step in their lives.
The Engagement: As outdoor lovers, they have always enjoyed hikes and visiting National Parks. Since they started dating, they have visited over twenty national parks, but Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor, Maine, holds a special place in their hearts. It is their escape from the noise and a chance to reconnect with nature and each other. On their fifth visit this summer, while the sun dipped below the horizon and painted the sky in shades of pink and purple, Jake got down on one knee. Of course, Victoria said yes.
