We love sharing your happy news — it’s what we do (we’re a wedding magazine — it’s kind of our thing, you know?). But, today, we’re going to share a little happy news of our own. In the past few weeks Rhode Island Monthly’s Engaged has been recognized with a couple of pretty exciting awards. On May 2, our website was awarded first place in the digital tools category by the Rhode Island Press Association (sweet, no?). Then, this past weekend, the City and Regional Magazine Association named our print magazine the best regional wedding magazine in the country, awarding it gold in the Ancillary: Wedding category.
Whew. That’s cool stuff for our little team and this little labor of love we call Engaged.
Because we love sweet things so much (like weddings, proposals, edible favors and the scent of peonies), we figured there was no better way to celebrate our recently acquired accolades than with a cake. Trust us: It was sweet — so fabulously sweet (note the use of past tense there).
Anyway, this is the time of year we get going on next year’s edition. Now that we’ve had our little moment, we’re ready to begin making it all about yours again. Cheers and happy planning.
