Calling all brides and grooms! There’s a new venue in (down)town at the Beatrice Hotel.

The trendy alleyway hotel, which opened late summer 2021 alongside modern Italian restaurant Bellini, has added yet another reason to book a stay: weddings.

Small but mighty, the Beatrice has forty-seven guest rooms including an exclusive bridal suite with adjoining rooms to host the perfect bachelor or bachelorette party. With its central location in the heart of Providence, the bridal party can enjoy the complete experience of a rehearsal dinner, lodging, ceremony and reception all in one place.

The Beatrice’s wedding venue space already hosted a soft launch, with its second wedding scheduled for early June. The news of the new venue is quickly spreading by word-of-mouth but interested engaged couples can fill out an inquiry form online to book into 2023.

“I think that this space being a blank space that the bride can turn it into however she wants can be boho, modern…so it’s an open canvas so everyone can just bring their vision to life,” says event planner Margaret Brassard.

The Beatrice is associated with the Hammetts Hotel in Newport to accommodate bachelorette parties.

“It’s a very flexible space, so there’s a lot of opportunity. It can be everything all in one,” says Jennifer Curtin, general manager of the Beatrice.

The 1,800-square-foot space is enveloped entirely in glass: an atrium-style ceiling draws the eye up to the natural light, private offices flanking both sides of the hall on the upper floors, with glass entrances on both ends allowing northeast and southwest light to flow through.

Still under construction but set to be ready by spring, the private rooftop deck overlooking Kennedy Plaza with views of city’s skyline will be available to members of the hotel as well as special events.

For a styled shoot for the launch of the new space, Brassard chose to feature vendors, predominantly women-owned small businesses, to create two looks: one classic and timeless, the other with a pop of color. These are just a preview of the preferred vendors. Bellini serves as the caterer.

“I like small, women-owned businesses,” Brassard says. “Everyone will get to know the space.”

Since its launch on March 5, the Beatrice has officially opened its gates to the wedding season. “We’re open and ready,” Curtin says.
