Reconnecting years after a summer job together, Jahaira and Chester’s “forever” started on a birthday trip to Jamaica.

The Meet Cute: Jahaira and Chester met while working a summer job as teenagers; he tried to talk to her then, but she thought he was way too old. Fast forward a few years, Chester finally got the timing right — he slid into her DMs on social media, where they exchanged numbers and further explored their relationship.
The Proposal: For Chester’s birthday, Jahaira flew him out to Jamaica. Somehow, he ended up surprising her as well: during the trip, he got down on one knee and proposed, and she said yes without hesitation.
