“It was exactly how we  imagined it would be,” say Allie and Kerrin of their seaside wedding. Some newlyweds might have trouble making such a statement, but after speaking with the couple and seeing their photos, it must be true. From an intimate lighthouse ceremony to a lively reception in the Rose Grand Ballroom, which featured an impressive choreographed dance (one of Allie’s favorite moments of the day), May 25 was the epitome of simple elegance with a personal touch. But how can other couples achieve the same? Allie and Kerrin advise having fun with the preparations. “You are planning the most important day of your lives, but enjoy all of the steps along the way that get you to the big day. From touring venues to tastings to fittings, surround yourselves with the people you love and relish every second.” Anytime either one of them felt anxious during the planning process, usually regarding the smaller details, “we would remind ourselves that this is a once in a lifetime event and that we should remember to enjoy every moment, even the stressful ones,” Allie says. “And we used humor — lots of humor.”
