Caitlin Wolstencroft of Cranston, Rhode Island, and Steven Borowick of Warwick, Rhode Island, are set to wed December 31, 2020 at the Barn at Wight Farm in Sturbridge, Massachusetts.

How We Met

Steve and I met, like many couples these days, through the internet on After messaging for a few days back and forth, we agreed to meet on a Thursday night at Congress Tavern in Providence. What we both thought would be one quick drink after work turned into over four hours of non-stop talking and laughing. It was the best first date each of us had ever had and the rest is history.

Our Proposal Story

For a bit of background, my absolute favorite time of year is Christmas and I love doing as many holiday activities possible. Steve and I also recently bought a house in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, right near Wickford Village. For the proposal, Steve enlisted the help of my best friend (and future MOH), Arianna, and her fiance, Matt, to help carry out his plan. Arianna and I had made plans for December 22nd to have the four of us hang out at Steve and I’s house and exchange our Christmas gifts. That morning, Arianna had reached out to me and suggested the four of us go down to Wickford Village to see the Christmas decorations and enjoy a drink somewhere. I told Steve the plan (little did I know he was the real planner) and the four of us ventured down that night. After we enjoyed a drink at Wickford on the Water, we took a stroll down the street to see the lights and decorations. Once we got to the big Christmas tree lit up in the Village, Arianna offered to take a picture of Steve and I in front of the tree. While we were posing, Steve got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was the perfect moment and I loved being able to celebrate our engagement with our families during the holidays!
