Happy Pride! Let’s celebrate not only love for each other, but love for these LGBTQ+ owned vendors. These small business owners have an emphasis on creating a safe space for all couples.

EEW Photography (she/her) | @eewphotography

Meet Emily, wedding photographer and therapist based in Rhode Island. She loves to frolic around, jump on weird things to get the perfect shot and make a fool of herself so you can feel comfortable in front of the camera.

Emily got her start in 2011 while studying abroad in Florence, Italy, where she dove head-first into the world of art. About a decade later, she bought her first “real” camera and followed her new career path with E.E.W. Photography. With a master’s degree in mental health counseling and art therapy, she is able to combine her two passions together to provide a nurturing and safe environment for others to express themselves in front of the camera.

Photography style: genuine, natural, warm, comfortable, authentic, joyful, silly, mindful, fun, candid

Janelle D’Ambrosia Photography (she/her) | @janelledambrosiaphotography

If you’ve seen elopements flooding your Instagram feed, most likely it’s Janelle behind the camera. A Rhode Island-based photographer, she covers elopements, weddings and lifestyle shoots. In addition to her artistic abilities, she is a mental health occupational therapist. Connecting the two, she notes, “I recognize that no two couples are the same; every person is unique and has different needs and my experience helps me be flexible, think quick on my feet, and adapt to whatever comes our way on your wedding day! I understand that the road to your wedding day was likely not an easy one. I’ll hold your hand, listen to your stories, and support you every step of the way.”

Eli Holmes (they/them) | @seasmtnsco, @eli_holmes

Eli is a nonbinary wedding photographer and videographer living on Block Island year-round. While they specialize in weddings on Block Island (they know all the hidden gems), they own Seasmtnsco, an associate brand of LGBTQ+ members, serving New Orleans and southern California. Seasmtnsco has been recognized by Vanity Fair, Wandering Weddings and Equally Wed.

Eli specializes in wedding portraits, engagement and couples’ shoots, family sessions and those special moment captures.

Amanda Macchia (she/her) | @amandamacchiaphoto

Amanda started out as a concert photographer, capturing a variety of artists ranging from Nas to Fiona Apple. Now, she is a Boston-based wedding photographer but is no stranger to traveling for work around New England. As a voice in the LGBTQ+ community, Amanda is also a strong supporter of Black Lives Matter and all BIPOC voices. Her work has been seen on POPSUGAR, Equally Wed, Bespoke Bride and Dancing With Her.

Photography style: editorial, photojournalistic

Joshua Duclos-Rickard (he/him) | @freshforaged

Joshua expressed a knack for the fine arts from childhood, leading him to completing a degree in photography from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2011. While he took a part-time job in the florist department at Whole Foods, he discovered his true passion and the next step in his career: Fresh Foraged Designs. He is committed to working closely with local growers, such as Weatherlow Farms in Westport, Massachusetts, or Little State Flower Co. in Tiverton.

Jeremy Stone (he/him) | @jeremymakeup

Born and raised in southern Rhode Island, Jeremy Stone will always be seen with a makeup brush in hand. As a professional makeup artist for more than two decades, he has left the state to work for New York Fashion Week, celebrities, Miss America pageants and luxury beauty brands. Now, he caters to Rhode Island and southern Massachusetts brides from his salon in Federal Hill. Jeremy is part of the team of artists at Wedding affHairs.

Nathan Alan (he/him) | @wedding_affhairs

During his ten years of professional hair, Nathan has worked with celebrities such as New Kid On The Block’s Jordan Knight, contestants on “America’s Next Top Model”, Abby Lee Miller, news anchors, New York Fashion Week and more. Your mom will love him and his styling along with the rest of your bridal party.
