In 2017 when a bride couldn’t find a place to get ready, she asked her friend and photographer, Stacy Smith, to rent out her studio, an incredible business venture was born.
Stacy Smith Studios offers a 1,500-square-feet bridal suite highlighted by a salon room with natural light makeup counters, a bridal party room and best of all, a Tiffany Blue boudoir bedroom containing its own private bath.
A photographer who aims to capture each important moment of life, Stacy Smith prioritized versatility when designing her space, allowing for unlimited photo opportunities and a studio that suits everyone’s needs.
“Getting ready is the most nerve-wracking, anxiety-provoking part of the day. Having access to such an accommodating space can help to relieve some of those nerves,” says Smith.
Smith, who has been working as a photographer in the wedding industry for sixteen years and has used her studio for almost a decade, has really seen it all. She cares about each bride’s wedding day, so it makes sense that Smith has every necessity they might forget as well as ten different places to hang and photograph the bride’s dress to guarantee the perfect shot.
“I want the brides to feel special, like they can have the best and don’t have to make sacrifices or pay an extreme cost to get it,” says Smith, whose favorite part of touring the space is revealing the bedroom and seeing the face of awe on each guest. At times, venues aren’t accessible for the entire time necessary to prepare, and hotel rooms can’t be booked for just a few hours and might not offer good backgrounds for photos. A bridal suite is the perfect solution.
With plenty of off-street parking, a stocked refreshment room, WiFi, a mimosa cart and much more, Smith’s goal is to accommodate her guests by providing them with a great experience on the most important day of their lives.
