Although she almost bailed for a second time, Rachel-Rose is glad she didn’t miss out on the opportunity to say yes under a sea of stars.

The Meet Cute: Rachel-Rose and Jonathan met on the greatest place on Earth… Hinge! Using the app’s blind date feature, that only shows prompts without photos, Rachel-Rose answered Jonathan’s coffee-related question and forgot all about it. The next day she woke up to his message asking her out on a date. Sadly, she ended up cancelling but he kindly rescheduled. She almost cancelled their second date too, but she’s grateful she didn’t.
The Engagement: Jonathan made it a goal for the couple to dress up and try a new restaurant every month. This time, they planned to dine in Jamestown, but Jonathan’s plans didn’t stop there. He picked out her dress (something he often did) and told her their friends would join this time. Rachel-Rose arrived early to his house and noticed him unnaturally agitated, which she thought odd considering he’s always calm. After dinner, Jonathan asked to walk along the beach. He knows how much she loves the beach, so she didn’t think much of the request. As they strolled along the shore, the stars were extra bright. Jonathan pointed behind her and told her to find a constellation, but after searching and searching, Rachel-Rose finally turned to find him down on one knee. Saying yes came as easily as the waves met the sand.
