Framing Life’s Biggest Moments: A Look Inside Nicole Gesmondi Photographer’s Warwick Studio

From surprise proposals and wedding days to growing families, professional milestones and confidence-boosting boudoir experiences, Nicole Gesmondi Photographer has built her Warwick studio around documenting every chapter of her clients’ lives.

Nicole Gesmondi first opened her photography studio in Providence in 2009 before relocating to a larger, custom-designed space in Warwick in 2023. Today, the Warwick studio offers a comfortable, private setting for family portraits, weddings and engagement sessions, professional headshots, branding photography, boudoir, maternity, newborn and seasonal limited event sessions — all under one roof.

Creating a relaxed experience is one of Nicole’s biggest priorities. Before every session, clients are invited to schedule a phone consultation or visit the studio to tour the space, discuss their vision and experience the studio’s heirloom artwork and album options firsthand. The goal is simple: to make every client feel comfortable long before they step in front of the camera.

“Everyone deserves to have photographs that celebrate who they are and where they are in life,” says Nicole.

Knowing many people feel nervous about being photographed, Nicole guides clients through natural posing while encouraging them to simply be themselves.

“I want clients to enjoy their photographs every day, not just on a phone or computer screen,” she says. “We’re creating artwork that becomes part of their home and part of their family’s story.”

Rather than simply delivering digital files, Nicole invites clients back to the Warwick studio for a personalized image viewing and ordering appointment. Together, they select favorite photographs and design heirloom albums, framed artwork and custom wall displays that preserve life’s milestones for generations.

While Nicole photographs weddings and engagement sessions throughout Rhode Island and other New England regions, her Warwick studio offers an ideal setting for families, professionals and couples looking for a timeless indoor experience, regardless of the weather. The thoughtfully designed space features interchangeable backdrops, timeless decor and carefully curated furnishings including a flower wall, hanging swing and seasonal elements.

“We don’t want anything to look dated,” she says. “Ten or fifteen years from now, I don’t want clients looking back and thinking, ‘Oh my gosh, that was so 2026!”

While weddings remain one of Nicole’s specialties, she hopes they’re only the beginning of each client’s story. Many of the couples whose engagement sessions and weddings she photographed years ago now return for maternity sessions, newborn portraits, family photography and annual holiday portraits.

“I love building relationships with my clients,” she says. “It’s such an honor to watch their families grow. Because I already know what they love and what artwork they have displayed in their homes, we can continue creating pieces that complement their story year after year.”

Boudoir photography has also become an increasingly meaningful part of Nicole’s business. While many brides first discover boudoir as a wedding gift for their partner, she’s seen a growing number of women in their forties and fifties booking sessions simply for themselves. Many are balancing careers and/or raising children, and are looking for an experience that reminds them to see themselves with confidence again. Through guided posing and plenty of encouragement, even those who arrive feeling nervous often leave with a renewed sense of self.

“They’re not coming in saying, ‘I’m a size zero and I feel sexy,’” she says. “They’re saying, ‘I’m in my forties, exhausted, I have two kids and I’ve never done this before. Help me feel beautiful.’”

Whether booked for a wedding, anniversary, milestone birthday or simply as an act of self-celebration, Nicole hopes every client leaves seeing themselves a little differently.

The studio also photographs professional headshots and personal branding sessions for entrepreneurs and business owners looking to elevate their personal brand with polished, authentic imagery.

As we’re soon approaching the end of summer, the Warwick studio is already preparing for one of its most anticipated traditions: the custom-designed Holiday Limited Event Sessions. Each year, Nicole and her team build brand-new holiday sets, giving returning families a fresh experience while maintaining a timeless style. Along with holiday portraits, the studio continues photographing weddings, families, and other experiences throughout every season.

Whether documenting a wedding day, welcoming a new baby, celebrating family milestones, updating a professional headshot or creating an empowering boudoir experience, Nicole Gesmondi Photographer remains committed to creating timeless images that will be cherished for generations. 1104 Bald Hill Rd., Warwick, 401-889-3686, nicolegesmondi.com
