How We Met
Jacob and I met in 2009 while we were both working at the 99 Restaurant— Jacob as a line cook and myself as a waitress. We had an instant connection, and after months of flirting through the kitchen window at the 99, we made it official over sushi. Seven years later, we are now planning our wedding and are excited to spend the rest of our lives together!
Our Proposal Story
While I was on a family trip to Italy in July 2015, Jacob pulled off the ultimate surprise by flying to my family’s hometown of Itri while my family and I were staying there and surprised me on top of the medieval castle, Castello di Itri.
I thought I was going on a tour of the castle with natives of the town and just to my surprise Jacob was standing at the very top playing a guitar and singing “Crazy Love” by Van Morrison which will now be our wedding song. He and my family orchestrated the entire proposal and I am still completely surprised by it.
Jacob spent the last week with me and my extended family and was a perfect way to celebrate our engagement!
