Engaged in Southern New England Postponed Until Fall 2021

It’s no secret that this year has been tough on most industries (looking at you, food and beverage and travel and tourism). Yet, what often gets overlooked — and, frankly, unfairly dismissed thanks to scary headlines — is the wonderful world of weddings. Many couples have been forced to postpone, downsize, entirely rethink or even outright cancel their big day while many vendors have subsequently lost out on significant portions of their income. And though a number of creative ceremonies, beautiful micro weddings and safe-yet-still-fun receptions have still occurred this year, it just didn’t feel right to publish our next edition of Engaged in Southern New England when so many in the local business of love are still hurting. So, we’ve gone ahead and decided to push the publication date to the fall of 2021. We’re optimistic that the country will have more of a handle on the pandemic by then, allowing for reduced restrictions and more in-person loving. The new issue will of course still feature elements from the 2020 season, but we’re excited to also be able to get back to providing pretty styled shoots, big venue tours and expert seating arrangement guidance.

So, in the meantime, keep up with us on this blog and our social media channels! We’ll still be scouting for content inspiration and real wedding couples through the spring. If interested in being featured (whether you’re a vendor, newlywed or recently engaged person) online or in print, tag #engagedsne or #engagedsne on Instagram or reach out directly to our editor, Kait Murray, at kmurray@rimonthly.com. We’re looking forward to hearing from you!

XOXO,

The Engaged Team
