These Facebook friends said “Yes!” to a lifetime of love. The couple wed on July 8, 2022, at Five Bridge Inn in Rehoboth, Mass.

The Meet Cute

A friend of ours asked Jeff how he knew me after seeing we were mutual friends on Facebook for eleven years, although Jeff said he didn’t know me. He sent me a message and that’s where it all started. We met for drinks at a local brewpub. We grew up in the same town, went to the same college, and had several mutual friends but our paths didn’t cross until I was twenty-nine and he was thirty-one!

The Proposal

Pure magic. Jeff planned a quick getaway to Washington D.C., in April 2021. On the first day there, we rented a car and drove an hour to Shenandoah National Park for a private horseback riding tour. At one point in the tour, we reached a clearing in the woods where a table was set with Champagne, roses and a horseshoe with our names and the date. Before I could pop the bottle, Jeff popped the question. It was a weekend full of everything I loved: D.C., national parks and, of course, Jeff!

The Advice

Figure out the things that are most important to you and put the majority of your time and thought into planning those things well. For us, it was food and music. Choose your vendors well; they will be a lifesaver in some way on the day of your wedding (shout out to our vendors: House of Lubold Photography, Angelic Affairs, Red’s Street Kitchen, Pat Long and
@the_hairdiaries). Finally, make arrangements to enjoy all of the delicious food that you picked out! The day and night goes by so fast.
