What started as a chance meeting at a St. Patrick’s Day party led to a proposal among wine, flowers and plenty of cheers.

The Meet Cute: Hailee and Joseph met at a mutual friend’s St. Patrick’s Day party. Gaining some willpower after some conversing with her friends, Hailee decided to shoot her shot and go up to him. Spending the night playing games while chatting about his job as a teacher and her job as a nurse, Joseph stole a kiss or two. About two weeks later, the two officially became an item.
The Proposal: Leading up to the proposal scene at Stonington Vineyards in Stonington, Connecticut, Joseph layed rose petals, a blanket and pictures of them aligning the rocks. The rented out a back room was filled with flowers and wine from the vineyard, where they later called family and friends and shared the good news. Post engagment celebrations called for visits to their favorite local bars — Black Oak in Coventry and Bill’s Place in West Warwick — with their favorite people.
